This workshop is Age 16+

What you will do

A 3 week course to introduce you to sewing patterns by making a simple shift dress. 

During the course you will learn how to understand pattern markings, basic pattern adjustments, how to mark fabrics, pattern cutting and how to follow pattern instructions to make your project.

Bring your own fabric or we can help you choose. A pattern will be provided for you to keep. We have machines but you are also welcome to bring your own.

Your Teacher

Marianne Su Yin is the creative whirlwind behind Whistle and Hound. Turning her hand to all things textile she has been making and creating for quite a few decades now. From uber tiny tartan mini skirts and black crochet tops in her 80s teen punk days, to retro 50s day dresses and glamorous silk vintage gowns when she grew up.
