What you will do

Bullet journalling is the art of creating your own life planner in a notebook. It’s a method to combine a to-do list, diary, and life planner. But, it is more than that. It’s also a way to track your moods, life experiences and day to day activities as well as setting long term reminders and goals.

In our 3 hour workshop with Island author and illustrator Jules Marriner you will learn how to set up your bullet journal, add an index and keys, use quick notes and cross-referencing. You will use different coloured pens and stickers to make your journal look fabulous, develop your own calligraphy, illustrations and codes as reminders and be shown how to plan your journal for the year ahead.

No drawing or artistic skills are necessary! You will also take one of our bullet journals home with you to keep.

We also run a monthly refresher to keep you going.

Your Teacher

Jules Marriner was born in Buckinghamshire, but has never let this hold her back. It was at

University that she rediscovered her love of children’s books and entered the Macmillan Children’s Book prize. Upon graduating, she spent a year in London working as an illustrator and spent endless hours thinking up new and unconventional stories.

To cut a long story short it was then she realised she really wanted to live up a tree with some orang-utans, so she moved to the Isle of Wight. Sadly, Orang-utans are not native to the south coast of England, but there are LOADS of trees to climb so she spends her days writing and drawing. Assisted by two Chihuahuas, one short, fat and hairy, and the other short, thin and hairy. Neither can climb trees.

Jules has ten children’s books published and is a passionate advocate for bullet journals.
